HiveMinds Raffles: Event Raffles, Done Right

HiveMinds Raffles: Event Raffles, Done Right - HiveMinds.io

Project Overview

Raffles are a highlight at trade shows, premieres, fundraisers and company events, but most still run on paper tickets, a fishbowl and a spreadsheet typed up afterward. We designed and built HiveMinds Raffles to change that. Attendees enter from their own phone in seconds, winners are drawn live on the big screen, and organizers leave with a clean, consent-tracked list of every lead.

Are you ready to get started?

The Challenge

Event hosts told us the same things: ticket lines slow down the floor, handwritten entries are unreadable, winners walk away before they are called, and the leads never make it into a CRM. We set out to build a raffle that is faster for guests, more exciting in the room, and more useful to the organizer afterward.

    What we delivered:
  • Product strategy, UX/UI design and brand
  • Mobile-first entry flow with QR code access
  • Big-screen event display, live drawing and winner screens
  • Organizer dashboard for prizes, entries, draws and winners
  • One-tap SMS winner notification and shareable winner pages
  • Lead export with marketing consent tracking

From QR Code to Winner in Three Steps

Scan & enter. Guests scan the event's QR code and sign up with a name, phone number and selfie. There's no app to download and no account to create.

Draw live. The organizer picks a prize and hits draw. Names shuffle on screen and land on a random winner, and every draw is logged.

Text the winner. One tap opens Messages with the win already written, and the winner's card goes live on the raffle page for everyone to see.

Built for the Guest's Phone

Everything an attendee touches is designed for a phone held in one hand on a busy event floor. The raffle page shows the prizes, winners and rules. The sign-up form takes about thirty seconds. A selfie with each entry means the host knows exactly who to hand the prize to. Winners get a page of their own, with confetti, their prize and a "Share my win" button.

A Moment on the Big Screen

The drawing is designed to be watched. Organizers choose a prize from a full-screen view built for the projector, see how many of each prize are left, and spin through every entrant before the draw lands on a winner. The whole room watches it happen, and it's fair and random every time.

Winners, Celebrated

Each confirmed winner fills the screen with their photo, name, company and prize. At the same moment, "Text winner" opens the organizer's own Messages app with the note already written. There's no SMS service to set up, and the link previews as a winner card right in the chat. Hosts can give winners a set number of minutes to claim a prize and redraw no-shows with a tap.

Event Display & Host Branding

A 1920×1080 event display puts the prizes and a giant QR code on any monitor or projector, so the raffle promotes itself all night. Add the event host's logo and every raffle page picks up their colors automatically, whether the event is a film premiere or a corporate summit.

The Organizer Dashboard

One dashboard runs the whole raffle: partner branding, event details, prizes, the sign-up form, SMS and winner rules, admin accounts, the QR code, entries, draws and a full draw history. Duplicate phone numbers and emails are blocked, suspicious entries are flagged for review, and every entry can be exported as a CSV with marketing opt-ins kept separate and consent recorded.
